Making Wind

Trees can be blown about in the wind. You can set the strength of the wind and the direction that it blows towards. You can save the animation as either a movie, set of pictures or models of the tree.

1. Choose a tree to draw.

2. View the tree from your desired position.

3. Change the colours and textures of the tree.

4. Change the trees shadow.

5. Select the desired render quality.

6. Move the Wind speed slider to the correct wind speed. It is in the Tree Designer palette.

7. Set the direction of the wind using the Wind direction compass and the Wind vertical slider.

8. Change the Animation length and Frames per second parameters if you wish to. There are in the View palette.

9. Examine a few of the frames by moving the Frame slider in the View palette.

10. When you are ready click on the Play button in the View palette.

11. When Little Stick has made the animation it will be displayed in a new movie window. Click the Play button again to show it.

12. Save your animation.

Tip: Try making a test animation with a small number of Frames per second and at a lower quality before making a full high quality animation.
